Jack is eight weeks now and growing so, so, fast! He has outgrown a ton of his newborn outfits and starting to wear more of the three month clothes! He is responsive to my voice and will give you the biggest smile if you ask him for it! I can’t get over how alert he has become…I’m pretty sure he knows every time he is about to get a bottle because every time I put a bib on him he will start to grin…it’s adorable!
Y’all, Jack is sticking to this new sleep routine. He will go to bed around eight in the evening and will stay asleep until three or so in the morning! If I go to bed around nine, which I usually do, then I get about six hours of sleep before having to get up again. It really makes all of the difference in the world. The only downfall is that Jack will then wake up at five and then again at six in the morning. So, after the long stretch of sleep, we are usually up and down after that. I somehow need to get him to stay up a little later so that he will wake up later in the morning. It is difficult, though, to get him to wake up once he has had his eight o’clock bottle. I have tried everything to get him to wake up…including wiping him down with a cool wet wipe, tickling his belly, and even blowing cool air on him…he just will not wake up! And, if he does, he will only drink an ounce of his bottle so the entire point is pretty mute. I have got to figure out a way to make him go to bed later!! Any suggestions??

gerber oatmeal in a jar (it MAY have some fruit mixed in it to) . heat it for 30 sec and put it in 4 oz of his formula (the 4 oz make it not to thin or to thick, AND if if you havn't already, you will need to poke a bigger hole in one of his bottles for this think food)... my friend taught me this. it will keep him really full........ we don't let Lux have a nap after 4 then give her her night time bottle..that helps us to..??? hope this helps!
We had that same problem with Emma at first. She would go to sleep around 8 and wake up around 1. We started slowly pushing back her 8 feeding time. When she first showed hunger signs, we would delay feeding her and just try to keep her occupied for a few more minutes by changing her diaper, changing her clothes and getting her ready for bed, etc. It took a week or so to push her feeding time back because I didn't want her to starve to death if she was hungry at 8 (we pushed it back 15 or so minutes each night for a while). Now she gets hungry around 9:30 or 10, eats, and sleeps until about 6! I hope something works for you - us new mommies need our sleep, too :).
when Ada was little, I would feed her earlier, maybe at 7:00 or so, and put her down. Then when I was ready to go to bed, say around 10, I would get her out of bed and feed her again. Usually she didn't even really wake up, but it would get her tummy full, and then she wouldn't wake up so early to eat.
