Job Search Continues

I have an interview on Friday at Columbia High School. Because I interviewed at this school last summer, I know what to expect. This will help to shake off some anxiety. I am worried about the elephant that will be in the room - being pregnant. We'll see how it goes. Now, when I was preggers with Jackson, I just knew no one would hire me because of the baby and maternity leave. Not to mention, I didn't think it would be possible to teach AND be pregnant. But, this year 3 ladies at Ed White taught the entire year carrying a little baby. Having them for examples of what a pregnant woman can do has really made me feel ten times more confident. I just hope I can sell myself well enough and shew that elephant out of the room elegantly!
Please continue to pray for this never ending job search and the prospect of this new opportunity!!!! I will update you on how it goes...good or bad!

Summer is coming to a close....

Here is a belly shot from the Fourth of July...Notice Brian's Belly...He's trying to match me....it'll never happen!

I am in the same boat that I was in last summer. I have no teaching position to fill for the upcoming school year that is fast approaching. I have applied for at least 25 plus jobs and still have not heard anything from anyone. It is really difficult to be patient about not having a job this year. If we don't have insurance for our family then I am not sure what we will do. It is hard being a teacher without tenure under one's belt. Please pray that God will use me to fill a teaching position where I am needed.

Jackson is talking up a storm these days and I am loving every minute. Finally the little squirt said "mama" and now it is a firm part of his vocabulary. This makes my heart so happy!
Lily is growing like a weed. She is in constant motion and it makes me so happy. I am loving making little pink things for her room and picking out all of the cute pink outfits!!! She is going to be prescious!

Blog Block

I have blogger block - But I am going to do my best to give you some kind of post. Things have been hot around here. I don't leave the house much unless it is a must. I try to cram all of my errands into one day events so that I am not sweating and breathing hard and feeling faint each day of the week. Carrying Lily has been a lot different then carrying Jack. It seems like she is so much heavier than Jack. I could stand all day while I was pregnant with Jack, but I can hardly go ten minutes on my feet with this little lady. I am at the 23 or 24 week mark. I haven't really been keeping up with it. All I keep up with is how much I eat and how much weight I am gaining. So far, I have packed on a good 23 pounds. I am hoping to keep it this way until the last month or so of this pregnancy. I don't want to gain 50 pounds again. It takes too long to lose that baby weight.
Jackson is talking so much. The last couple of weeks have been tough for him. He had the final "push through" of two top molars. Sleepless, Sleepless, Sleepless nights. It was hard for us all. Luckily we pressed on and made it through the pain. This is good because there for a while I thought my child had turned into to some little terror. I was worried out of my mind. I am learning. In the end, I have been reminded of what a little angel I have. He is perfect!
Now, when I am able to formulate complete thoughts and then turn those thoughts into coherent sentences, I will share more with you. For now, enjoy your weekend.

We're Back!

Hey friends!! The computer is up and running. Hopefully we won't have any further problems!! A lot has been happening lately. Jackson is using the potty AND sleeping through the night. (we had a bit of a set back - I was getting up every time he would cry. I needed the sleep. The sooner I could fix his problem, the sooner I could return to dream land. It HAD to come to an end.) He uses the potty only when we ask him to. He doesn't exactly let us know when he needs to go. If we ask him if he needs to go boo boo, he will ALWAYS tell us no - even if he is sitting in his own stink. Jackson will not say mommy. He will say every other name in the book, along with whatever new word I would like for him to pronounce, even Lily's name, but he REFUSES to say "mommy."
Speaking of Lily Caroline - we are SOOOOO excited to be having a little girl. I am obsessed with her already. Brian went out to buy her first onsie. (He said that he just had to be the one to buy her first outfit.) He wanted to get a bow with it but told me there weren't any big enough!! Don't you just love it?
