I am packing up my classroom. I am not doing that great of a job with it because I have not one box and the attention span of a 1year old. I also discovered that you can watch full episodes of your favorite television programs on the computer. (I just joined Earth yesterday...ha) So, I have just made large piles of files, papers, books, etc. all over my room. It's the end of the year. I don't have much to say about it other than I am packing up my room because the school year has ended and I don't know where I will be teaching next year. Please pray for me and my family. We know that the Lord has big plans for us and we are faithful that He will use us where we will be needed. We're excited to see what He has got in store for us!!!
"Not all of them are loveable. You might not have chosen every one of them to be in your class if you'd had the last word. But the Lord has chosen these students to be in relationship with you. So don't feel stuck with his divine decision. Welcom it as an exciting adventure, an opportunity to stretch your oundaries as you learn reach out to your class - even those who may rub you the wrong way."
(You have no idea how much I need to be reminded of this this past year!!!)

Yummy
Brian made home-made banana pudding yesterday.
It was simply delicious.
It became the highlight of our weekend. Other things that did not top the pudding: I rested a lot. Jackson played at his grandparents house a lot. We went to a wedding and to a birthday dinner. We ate a really big breakfast Saturday.
But really, nothing topped the banana pudding :)

Jack's first run with a water hose!
We did some yard work last week for a lady who wanted our help. Alright, she only wanted Brian's help. I just decided to make a day out of it. I pretended like we were going to be at the park all day. I brought a blanket, toys for Jack, plenty of water and snacks. It was fun. I pretended that the yard was mine and I was desperately trying to get my shrubs trimmed because they needed it so bad. (When you live in an apartment people, you take what you can get, okay?) I got sun. Brian got sun. Jack...well he was covered in sun screen. Jack just got dirty. After hour two, I was ready to leave. I was waaayyy over pretending someone else's yard was mine and I seriously wanted nothing to do with trimming ANY kind of bush, grass, or plant. It was HOT.
Sooo, I got the water hose out. I decided to throw caution to the wind and let my little prince run around in the water. (being the prepared mommy that I am, spare clothes were waiting on him in the car...I did think we would spend time "outside" and then go have lunch. ha ha me.)
Anyhow, Jack went BANANAS! He loved every single minute of it.

Oh, and remember the blog about Jack and the dog? Well, they are still in it together. Check out the toys that Jack threw to Dale last night. The kid made it his mission to share his toys with his D. Seriously, a bumbo Jack?
Jackson wears the empty tub of butter on his head. I'm not lying. He then becomes "bucket head." I should post pictures of that. I will.

Tuesday!
Lots of new things happening in the Smalley ranch. (I wish we had a ranch with little baby chicks and baby goats...what? did that just come out of my mouth? Pregnancy is such a weird thing.)
My latest craft project: Pottery Barn inspired decorative balls~
V and Co. did an awesome tutorial on how to make these rad decorations. The majority of my recent projects have come from that blog.
Check out this fabric ring she did:
I did one...it did not turn out as cute. I still have plenty of fabric to keep trying though!
the next project, which I think is going to be so adorable: The flower corsage. I'm really excited about this one. I think it will be great for Mother's Day!
Hobby Lobby always has great sales! Check out my new door mat. I just love it. It makes me think of the beach every time I see it.
Last but not least...my goof ball husband went out in the rain and hand picked some really beautiful flowers. I felt pretty special.
Happy week, y'all!
