Brian and I have never needed a plunger before. We needed one a few weeks ago. Out of the blue, the toilet decided not to flush properly. I'm sure we have all experienced that horribly feeling when you see the water in the bowl coming up and NOT going down. Never good.
Brian bought a plunger.
We found - -
Building blocks. Two bright yellow Lego blocks.
Is this not a trademark sign of a little boy?
Hopefully it is also a sign of how well potty training will go. (considering I would like to have him "pee-peeing in the potty" by the time this little one comes along!)
Also, please pray for my little Jack. It is his first day at daycare. We have been making this "daycare" decision for over 7 months now. I think we are pretty settled about our decision. Jack is staying with Mrs. Angie at her home for a couple of days during the week. There are 5 other little tots that stay with her as well and all of the mama's are teachers! (funny) I am hoping Jack will increase his social skills during this time.
Nonetheless, kissing my boy good-bye this morning made me realize how fast he is growing up. Does anyone have the solution for stopping time? If so, please let me know!!

Spring Break
It is 3:32 in the afternoon and I am so ready for this long-awaited week off. I am so excited that I am taking just a few seconds to let all of you know that I will be on "Spring Break" next week. My biggest priorities during my week off are going to be playing with Jackson outside AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, convincing Brian to let me paint one wall in the apartment a grapefruit color, cutting my hair, and organizing my abode for the upcoming spring!
I am going to enjoy this time with my boys. Because Brian trains kids at night and is home with Jack when I am at work, I don't get to play "wife" and "momma" at the same time that much, so I am ready to play my roles.
Happy Spring!

This is What Happens When....

Hello March
March on in spring...it is time to see your face!! I am so ready for the warmer weather days to arrive. I have tried to incorporate every single bright citrus color into our living space so that it will finally feel "alive" again. I bought the most obnoxious yellow bath mats to match my new shower curtain. The shower curtain is awesome, the bath mats make the bathroom look more like a bathroom for a freshman dorm room! But I need that brightness every day. I had such a hard time getting through the winter months last year...This winter has been much better, but I can feel spring coming! And I am so excited to be able to play ball with Jackson outside. He loves running and chasing balls and anything that has to do with being a little boy. I am so ready to get out there and run around with him. A few weekends ago we went to Mobile for my Uncle's big surprise birthday bash - and the weather was soooo wonderful! Here are a few shots of us doing our family thing out in the sun!!
(by the way...Brian has a black eye because of a flying softball!)
Have a great week!

Sneaky Boys
Eat your hear out people! (Notice the baby gate that is keeping Dale out of the living room?) Dale is trying to sneak through under the bookcase...I am pretty sure that Jack is now his accomplice....
So innocent and so cute
yeah right...until I find every one of Jack's toys and all of his snack laying on the otherside of the gate for Dale...
